The Finance team comprises a number of units: Controller’s, Financial Strategy and Business Planning, Loan Syndications, Treasury, and Local Currency and Capital Markets Development (LC2).

The Treasury team is organised into analytics, funding, investment activity and client risk management and undertakes wide-ranging tasks, from providing quantitative models for claim valuations to advising on loan and equity operations.

The LC2 team at the EBRD works hard to strengthen local capital markets and encourage the use of local currencies in its countries of operations to counteract weaknesses in their economies. More information about this work can be found here.

The goal of the Loan Syndications team is to broaden the EBRD's co-financing base. The team achieves this by increasing the number of commercial lenders with which it works, by continuing to introduce new co-financing structures and methods, and by introducing new countries to the market.
