Reward

We believe that all elements of Reward should be managed together to provide you with an overall package that is competitive in the market, well-balanced and supports you and your family in your daily life, throughout and after your career at the Bank. We aim to encourage a performance-based culture in which individuals are motivated to develop to their full potential in a supportive environment. Your base salary and any performance-based compensation awards are clearly linked to your performance and contribution.

Our reward package
In addition to competitive salaries, the EBRD offers a comprehensive reward package. Some elements are subject to eligibility criteria, which will be fully explained during the recruitment process. The key elements of the package are as follows:

Retirement plans
Eligible employees are enrolled in two retirement plans:
1.  Final Salary Plan - Provides a lump sum payment when you leave the EBRD or  retire that is calculated based on your length of service and final salary. The contributions to this Plan are made entirely by the Bank.
2.  Money Purchase Plan - Provides a lump sum payment when you leave the EBRD or retire. The contributions are made by both you and the Bank and you are able to choose different types of investment funds.

Insurances
To help support you and your family in your daily lives, we offer three insurance plans:
1.  Medical Insurance Plan - Offering comprehensive international medical cover including dental.  Employees do not pay any premiums for their own cover and can choose to cover their dependents for an additional discounted premium
2.  Life Insurance Plan - In the event of a staff member's death in service, their beneficiaries will receive a lump sum equivalent to four times the annual base salary for eligible employees without dependents or eight times the annual base salary for eligible employees with dependents.
3.  Medical Leave and Working Incapacity Insurance - For a continuous absence in excess of 26 weeks, employees may be eligible to receive Working Incapacity Insurance which provides 70 per cent of the base salary.

We also provide a number of other benefits to eligible employees, including:
•  Performance based compensation - A discretionary lump sum paid annually to eligible employees in recognition of superior performance
•  EBRD Community initiative - In support of philanthropic and charitable activities in the Bank's countries of operations, employees can apply for a matching financial contribution.
