Purpose of Job

 

The Analyst supports the department’s planning, coordination, oversight and governance processes. The role operates at team (squad) level and/or within a defined scope across the department, executing their specialist tasks as per established guidelines, in partnership with individuals and teams.

The Analyst supports teams as an individual contributor ensuring that standards, processes, and practices are upheld and consistently applied. The role provides analysis and reporting for key departmental delivery and supports continuous improvement activities. 


Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the processing of Purchase Orders (POs) accurately in line with financial controls, coding standards and contract terms, and timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Provide oversight for the Goods Receipting and Invoice Approval processes in coordination with Contract managers across the department by ensuring the appropriate recipient of goods are correctly assigned in the system and validating the set-up, monitoring exceptions, and following up with designated receivers and reporting as required.
  • Undertakes budget management activities - ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission in line with defined standards.
  • Support the Principal & CIO Office with planning, budget & contract management, reporting and analysis processes, as required.
  • Coordinate the planning & delivery of annual structured Tech programmes (such as AI upskilling) for countries of operation, in collaboration with stakeholders in ROs, as defined by MD IT & Leadership Team.
  • Support project management and coordination for key Technology initiatives, such as strategic partnerships or externally focused programmes, as defined by the MD IT & Leadership Team.


Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, proactive and flexible attitude to work.
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment on and deal discretely with confidential/sensitive information and data.  
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining calm and professional.
  • Highly computer literate: Windows 365: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge or experience of budget administration, financial controls, and supporting budget tracking or forecasting activities.
  • Ability to analyse, validate, and reconcile financial and administrative information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience supporting purchasing, invoicing, expenses, or similar administrative finance processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP (financials and expenses) or similar financial systems is desirable
  • Strong customer and service oriented approach when working with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Understanding of technology costs, cost drivers, and commercial principles
  • An accounting or bookkeeping qualification, or equivalent practical experience, would be an advantage.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating structured programmes, initiatives, or projects involving multiple stakeholders across departments or locations.
  • Good project coordination skills, including tracking actions, maintaining plans, monitoring progress, and escalating risks or issues where required.
