Purpose of Job:
Under the supervision of the various bankers in the team, the intern will support the transaction related process on a day to day basis.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Financial analysis of companies and projects including construction of financial projections and production of cash flow models.
- Data gathering, research, analysis and provide background information into companies or sectors.
- Administrative and analytical support in specific areas of project monitoring.
- Production of various reports as required by the team.
- Attending meetings with bankers where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Proven analytical skills and numerical skills. SAT maths 700+ (or similar level in GRE/GMAT) is a plus.
- Financial skills - ability to analyse financial statements prepared under local Uzbek GAAP and IFRS. ACCA qualification (or passing F/AS-level exams - F7 [FR], F9 [FM], F8 [AA]) or CFA Level 1 is a plus.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Very good written (report writing, correspondence) and verbal communication skills in English (min IELTS 7.0+ or equivalent English language proficiency exam required, not older than 2 years). Fluency in Russian and good speaking skills in Uzbek language will be a plus
- Good relevant degree from leading universities (economics, finance, business, management, banking). Students of final years are also encouraged to apply.
- Advanced computer skills in Excel.
- Prior experience in commercial banks (credit/risk management departments), auditing firms (Big-4 and others top firms) or in a position a financial analyst/finance manager is a plus, but not required.
