At EBRD Tech Sofia, we're looking for an Intern, Digital Device to join our Digital Workplace team and gain practical experience supporting a modern technology environment used by colleagues across the Bank. This is an excellent opportunity to build real-world skills in endpoint management, user support, workplace technology, Microsoft 365, and IT operations while working alongside experienced technology professionals in an international organisation. 

 

What You'll Be Doing 

 

Modern Workplace & User Support 

  • Support colleagues with everyday technology issues, including Windows devices, connectivity, hardware, peripherals, monitors, BitLocker, AV equipment, and workplace technology. 

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving common end-user technology challenges. 

  • Help ensure an excellent technology experience for local users. 

 

Endpoint Management & Device Lifecycle 

  • Support Windows device onboarding and provisioning activities. 

  • Gain hands-on experience with: 

    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Device compliance and enrolment
    • Application deployment validation
    • Endpoint lifecycle management 
  • Contribute to initiatives focused on endpoint standardisation, device management, and MDM migration. 

 

New Starter Onboarding 

  • Help prepare devices and technology for new joiners. 

  • Perform readiness checks and support onboarding activities. 

  • Coordinate with technology teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. 

 

IT Operations & Service Management 

  • Record and manage support activities within ServiceNow. 

  • Assist with operational reporting, ticket management, and service performance tracking. 

  • Support hardware asset management, device inventory, and device data quality initiatives. 

 

Technology Projects & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support Digital Device and Digital Workplace projects. 

  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities for new technology deployments, device builds, collaboration tools, and workplace technology changes. 

  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes and user experience. 

 

Office Technology & Collaboration Tools 

  • Assist with meeting room technology, Microsoft Teams meetings, AV setups, and event support. 

  • Help prepare and validate technology for town halls, key meetings, and office events. 

  • Support the technology setup and ongoing needs of the Sofia Banking Office. 

 

Documentation & Coordination 

  • Create and maintain support guides, documentation, checklists, and operational procedures. 

  • Assist with project coordination activities, status tracking, action follow-ups, and dependency management. 

  • Work closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Workplace Technology, and other technology teams. 

 

 

Need to Have 

  • Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a degree in:
    • Information Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Engineering
    • Cyber Security
    • Business Information Systems
    • Or a related discipline 
  • Strong interest in workplace technology, endpoint management, and enterprise IT support. 

  • Basic understanding of Windows devices and common IT concepts. 

  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 

  • Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues and users. 

  • Ability to work on-site in Sofia as required. 

  • Fluency in English. 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 technologies. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, or endpoint management concepts. 

  • Experience with IT service management tools or ticketing systems. 

  • Understanding of hardware asset management and device lifecycle processes. 

  • Exposure to ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms. 

  • Interest in workplace technology, AV systems, collaboration tools, or digital employee experience.
