We’re looking for a Technology Delivery Manager with deep, hands-on experience delivering security projects. Someone who can drive high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives that keep our organisation resilient, compliant, and ahead of emerging threats. In this role, you’ll orchestrate delivery across multiple IT squads, ensuring that every solution, workflow, and milestone not only meets business and technology objectives but also strengthens our security posture end-to-end. You’ll embed Agile practices, apply Waterfall discipline where appropriate, and uphold governance, quality, and risk-management standards that support a truly security-first delivery model.

 

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate risks early, driving secure-by-design outcomes across all initiatives, from identity and access management to threat detection platforms, vulnerability management solutions, compliance tooling, and broader security transformation programmes. You’ll ensure teams are resourced and aligned, business cases emphasise risk reduction and resilience, and delivery stays transparent, accountable, and outcome-focused. Accountabilites and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the delivery of cross-functional IT initiatives across squads, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives. Support the Agile delivery process, balancing flexibility with necessary controls to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery of IT solutions that meet business and technical goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across IT and business teams, ensuring we instill a product mindset with clear communication on delivery goals, progress, risks, and outcomes. Support effective expectation management, aligning on scope, timelines, and milestones, focusing on Agile delivery while applying Waterfall principles as needed.
  • Proactively assist in identifying and managing delivery risks and dependencies across multiple IT squads. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and self-organisation within teams while remaining open to using Waterfall techniques when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multiple IT squads, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure that the focus remains on high-impact solutions.
  • Ensure practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and continuous delivery are applied effectively to meet the needs of the specific project and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Ensure all delivery governance requirements are met this includes supporting the management of stage gates, budgets, financial controls, and governance standards for IT projects.
  • Support the implementation of delivery practices including ensuring teams are properly resourced and forecasted for success, deliverables meet quality standards, delivery metrics are visible and help monitor team performance.
  • Assist the Capability with the preparation of business cases for IT projects, ensuring clear articulation of scope, benefits, costs, and risk mitigation strategies. Help define delivery models, timelines, and resource allocation plans.

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Experience as a Technology Delivery Manager in mid-sized organisations operating across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), with practical experience in their application across IT delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall principles and how they integrate with Agile processes in hybrid delivery environments.
  • Experience in IT project delivery lifecycles, including how to manage risks, dependencies, and resource forecasting in both Agile and traditional frameworks.
  • Understanding of key IT delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow) for backlog management, sprint planning, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Experience in prioritising and managing multiple delivery streams across different squads, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
  • Hands-on experience in managing small to medium-sized IT delivery projects, ensuring that Agile practices are followed, and delivery is aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and communication, ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring team members in Agile practices and helping teams improve their Agile maturity.
  • Proficiency with Waterfall delivery principles, especially in hybrid environments where both Agile and Waterfall practices are utilised to manage complex IT projects.
  • Experience in preparing business cases for IT projects, including scope definition, risk mitigation strategies, and aligning with business objectives.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)) is a plus but not required.
