Role Overview

 

The Communications Department is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications, advancing the Bank’s mission, vision and goals through various channels amongst external and internal audiences.

The Intern, Internal Communications, will assist the team in delivering effective and impactful internal communications, ensuring staff are informed and engaged in the day-to-day work and the EBRD’s mission.  They will work closely with the Analyst, Internal Communications, to produce a daily EBRD internal update and be responsible for creating and publishing content on the intranet.

The Intern is expected to be able to demonstrate initiative, manage multiple tasks and to show a close interest in EBRD investments, strategies and events. We will provide support and guidance to ensure they are able to continue their development.

 

This role will be offered as a 6 month Internship, with the potential to extend to 8 month total duration.

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

• Assist with the implementation of the Internal Communications Strategy

• Produce the daily newsletter “Your EBRD Today”

• Create new content and update intranet pages managed by the Internal Communications team

• Source, plan and write stories for ‘People of the Bank’ intranet-based series

• Support Principal, HR Communications as needed

• Research the latest practices on digital internal communications and propose improvements to the way we communicate internally

• Support the delivery of staff and senior leadership briefings

• Provide occasional admin and coordination support to other project activities

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

 

• Degree or equivalent experience

• Experience of Communications activities gained during academic studies or work experience to include production and publishing of content using text, audio, or video

• Fluency in English and relevant languages

• Excellent writing skills, including editorial accuracy and ability to edit concisely

• Basic design skills, including producing infographics for internal communications

• Effective, persuasive and diplomatic communication skills

• Ability to use various types of computer software, including Content Management Systems, such as Oracle

• Ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek advice
