HR Analytics Intern

The people analytics team sits in the HR department and use a variety of different business intelligence and modelling tools, including Tableau, Alteryx and OrgVue to provide analysis on the bank’s workforce.

The HR Analytics Intern works as part of the team responsible for assisting with the delivery of daily reporting for internal HR teams on headcount, recruitment and other subjects. The intern will need to source and prepare data from bank systems to use in Tableau dashboards and for organisation design and analysis using OrgVue.


The post holder will also work with Alteryx to improve data quality and provide daily feedback on issues identified to the teams responsible.


The HR Analytics Intern will work closely with the HR Analytics Technical Analyst to deliver improvements to the bank’s existing HR data warehouse and reporting capabilities. Specifically:

  • Provide daily updates of data feeds to HRs Tableau and OrgVue systems.
  • Use Alteryx to monitor data quality and set up automated checks.
  • Work with HR Analytics Platform owner on the SAP data cleanse project.
  • Assist the HR Analytics Technical Analyst with more detailed pieces of data analysis where required.
  • Monitor data quality of data feeds using Alteryx
  • Work with finance and the HR Business Partner team to cleanse SAP data to improve reporting accuracy.



  • A strong analytical orientation coupled with strong data manipulation skills to be able to: (i) understand how data can be used to measure real world outcomes (ii) how data can be presented to allow informed decision making.
  • Someone who: (i) enjoys fully immersing themselves in data, business constraints, and problems they are interpreting (ii) asks questions to get at the deeper-level “why” because you prioritize relevance and meaning over the artefact.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on completion of projects



  • Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics, or related Science based subject.
  • Previous experience of using Cognos, Tableau or similar BI toolsets a plus.
  • Previous experience of working with SAP HR an advantage.
