Purpose of Job:
The Associate, Fund Reporting is responsible for the provision of management information and reporting on the Bank’s activities under the Climate Investment Fund Capital Markets Mechanism (CCMM) as part of the Operational Strategy and Planning function. The role involves providing analytical, reporting and technical support with a particular focus on the provision and integrity of data related to operations supported by the CCMM and the coordination of the formal reporting to the trustee of the fund. The Associate will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to him/her by the Head and senior members of OSP.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the entire CIF Capital Marks Mechanism reporting process and compliance for the EBRD and primary contact in Finance for the provision of information and analysis related to the CCMM.
- Coordination of the implementation and schedule of reporting obligations as per the CCMM Financial Procedures Agreement and collation of information from the various departments involved in the process.
- Monitoring of pipeline projects candidate for CTF/CCMM funding. Regular provision of commitment, disbursement and repayment forecasts based on contractual and pipeline information established in collaboration with Banking and Donor Partnership colleagues.
- Coordination across department of reconciliation, production, and distribution of periodic Climate Technology Fund (CTF)/CCMM investment reports.
- Represent OSP and Finance in CCMM-related discussions with World Bank and other participating MDBs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Donor Partnerships, Accounting, Risk Management and Treasury, to ensure accurate and timely CCMM reporting.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance CCMM reporting efficiency and reduce risks of non-compliance, including collaboration with the Data Management department to address potential data issues.
- Development of ad-hoc reporting and analysis solutions to support the enhancement of breadth and quality of data provided to the Donor Partnerships and external parties.
- Analyse Bank CTF/CCMM investments through a thorough understanding of the Bank’s operations and reporting systems to support Bankers, CTF/CCMM Fund Administrators and other teams across the Bank.
- Identify operational data integrity issues and analyse potential impact with OSP management and implement appropriate process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of data, visualisation and analytical tools, preferably IBM Cognos Analytics, Tableau or Power BI.
- Good knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience in data analysis and MIS reporting.
- Excellent understanding of investment pipeline and portfolio dynamics with strong numerical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret large datasets.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and communicate effectively across all levels.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (advanced formulae, macro).
- Educated to degree level or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
