The Banking team provides project financing for banks, industries and businesses, investing only in projects that could not otherwise attract financing. Projects are diverse and tailored to the needs of the client and the relevant country, region or sector. These ventures are wide ranging, from securing the Chernobyl site to boosting food security and local currency initiatives.
Typically we fund up to 35 per cent of the total project cost, with direct investments ranging from €5 million to €230 million.
We provide more than just finance. Under our Small Business Initiative, we also help small and medium-sized businesses access the business advice they need to grow, succeed, then grow again, becoming genuine catalysts for their local economies and region.
During an EBRD banking career you will work with a dedicated team of specialists with specific sectoral, regional, legal and environmental skills and knowledge. Through government and international institution-supported donor funds, you could be part of mobilising investment capital and expertise and giving local business access to expert consultants.
