Purpose of Job:

EBRD Zagreb RO is seeking the Analyst to contribute to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring of EBRD financial institution clients (incl. commercial banks, leasing companies and other relevant institutions)

The Analyst will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to them by the operation leader or more senior members of the project team, or more senior bankers, which may include undertaking comprehensive due diligence, including financial, market, integrity and EBRD policy compliance, as well as effective post-signing implementation and monitoring.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the operation leader or a more senior banker:

1. Structuring and Execution

• Work as a project team member on transactions with financial institutions (i.e. commercial banks, leasing companies) in the Central Europe, contributing to all aspects of project structuring and execution, including comprehensive research and analysis of background materials, market information and financial performance data; analyse and evaluate potential risks related to the proposed project, including analysis of financial statements, preparing and updating financial models and financial projections;

• Assist with the designing and processing of technical co-operation assistance, including preparation of terms of reference and internal approval documentation, to support the related investment project or the related policy dialogue initiative;

• As may be requested, assist with communication with other internal units of the Bank, clients and other stakeholders, at the operational level, such as preparing draft correspondence, presentations, and following up on internal emails;

• Ensure that all tasks assigned to the Analyst are completed within the specified time frames to a high quality and in line with the policies, procedures and objectives of the Bank.

2. Portfolio Monitoring, Value Creation and Reporting

• As requested by the operation leader or a Portfolio Manager, undertake assigned tasks relating to the implementation and monitoring of projects to which the Analyst is assigned as part of the project team, including compliance with project agreements and Bank procedures related to disbursement, monitoring of progress of the project and financial performance of the client, assessing evolving risk factors and monitoring and assessing covenant compliance;

• As requested by the operation leader or more senior member of the project team, prepare timely and comprehensive draft monitoring reports and include recommendations for corrective actions where required and ensure these corrective actions and recommendations are brought to the attention of more senior team members;

• As may be requested by, and under the supervision of, a TC operation leader, assist with the effective implementation and monitoring of TC assignments including communication with TC client, monitoring of TC fund usage, preparation and filing of relevant TC progress and completion reports to support the TC operation leader to meet donor reporting requirements and operational objectives.

The responsibilities of the Analyst are designed to allow the Analyst to progressively undertake more complex tasks and build the scope of responsibilities based on acquired experience and expertise.

Purpose of Job:

The Analyst is based in the EBRD’s resident office in Amman, Jordan and is dedicated to working in the sustainable infrastructure sector in the EBRD’s (SI MEA) team, which delivers the Bank's mandate in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Jordan, as well as other countries in the region. In infrastructure, the team is responsible for debt and equity investments in the public and private sector in the transport and municipal infrastructure including water, public transport, and waste subsectors. In energy, the team is responsible for debt and equity investments predominantly in renewable power generation projects as well as gas and electricity storage, transmission, and distribution projects.

The Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring. Purpose of Job

Independently analyse and appraise risks of EBRD’s new and existing portfolio of corporate project finance debt transactions in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors; identify required due diligence, recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures and transaction structures, including security, covenants, and pricing. Advise bankers and the Bank’s Committees to ensure that banking projects comply with the Bank’s sound banking mandate. The Associate Director, Senior Risk Officer reviews portfolio projects, assigns credit ratings and communicates trends in the portfolio and lessons learned to management and peers for their broader strategic decision-making and bottom-up stress-testing. The Associate Director, Senior Risk Officer is responsible to lead and coach associate risk officers, analysts and junior bankers rotating through Corporate and Project Finance Credit Risk Management Team. Background

Risk Management is the Bank’s second line of defence, which is responsible for the independent identification, reporting and mitigation of risks. The Associate Director, Senior Risk Officer provides advice and presents recommendations to the Operations Committee, Small Business Investment Committee (SBIC)/ approves projects together with the Banking department under Delegated Authority, addressing credit concerns, remuneration, and seeks to minimise losses.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Establish an independent and unbiased view on projects proposed to the Operations Committee / SBIC / under Delegated Authority and make clear recommendations, or approvals, on each proposal.
Analyse the key risks of each proposal and advise on risk mitigation measures, structures, tenor, security, covenants and condition precedents, to the project teams via credit notes. Be versed in climate risk issues that have an effect on new and existing operations, including risk mitigation and reputational issues. Appraise the validity and reliability of key assumptions of each proposal, including via involvement in the commissioning and review of independent due diligence and travel.
Deliver clear authoritative conclusions in the context of large volumes and tight timescales. Take responsibility for the credit risk of designated own portfolio.
Ensure projects comply with any relevant risk guidelines, prudential limits set by the Bank, and that appropriate ratings are assigned for probability of default and loss given default. Have the ownership of Risk data in the area of responsibility.
Exercise independent delegated authority, if granted, regarding portfolio actions (including certain waivers and amendments), and recommendations to senior management on matters requiring higher level approval (including transfers to corporate recovery, provisions and more significant restructuring, etc.).
Lead proactive and regular monitoring of the assigned portfolio counterparties arranged in sector clusters and countries and market developments. Actively and constructively engage with Banking and other relevant staff to ensure adequacy of front-line monitoring, coach Banking representatives when appropriate (including rotation in Corporate & Project Finance Credit Risk Management).
In liaison with other Risk Management teams lead sector portfolio reviews and provide input to portfolio stress-tests. The Funds Team is responsible for EBRD’s investments in funds. Purpose of Job

The Associate supports on the delivery of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project preparation in the Eurasia region, known within the EBRD as Infrastructure Eurasia. The PPP projects are prepared to the benefit of the Bank’s public sector clients.

The purpose of the job is to assist the Associate Director or Principal (depending on the Operational Leader (OL) in each project) in managing the advisory mandates for the preparation of PPP projects and support in different PPP-related policies in this region.

The Associate will work in the process of evaluation of proposals presented by public sector clients, approval by the parties, support in the selection of external consultants, monitor the consultants’ work together with the public sector clients benefitting from EBRD’s support and, in general, contribute to the projects’ preparation with PPP knowledge and expertise.

The Associate will directly manage the communications with the consultants working in the preparation of infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with the contractual terms of the mandate and the scope of work agreed with consultants.

In fulfilling these objectives, the Associate will liaise with the EBRD internal and external stakeholders including several public stakeholders as requested by the Line Manager. The Associate will manage workloads to ensure all the PPP projects under preparation are delivered as per plan and with the required quality.

Background

The PPP Advisory Unit provides advisory support to public sector clients in the preparation of infrastructure PPPs from planning stage, conceptualisation, government approvals, support to the grantor during the tender and award of the PPP contract until financial close.

The team is transactions oriented and less focused on policy and capacity building; however, some policy related activities are also needed depending on the project under preparation. Most of the projects are in transport, social infrastructure and utilities sectors, there is also a significant portfolio of social and environmental infrastructure. In the Eurasia region, there are currently several projects in social infrastructure.

The advisory is provided to public sector clients in cost recoverable basis which requires raising funding from donors and seek reimbursement of such funding at closure.

The Sustainable Infrastructure Group (SIG) is responsible for delivering the Bank’s agenda in Sustainable Infrastructure through investments and policy dialogue across EBRD’s region. The group consists of five teams with ca. 220 staff in total in London and resident offices. SIG encompasses power, energy, transport, social and municipal infrastructure sectors, representing a third of the Bank’s annual business activity.

SIG is organised in six teams: SI3P; Infrastructure Eurasia, work delivering sustainable, inclusive and affordable infrastructure across Türkiye, the Caucasus, Moldova and Central Asia; Energy Europe, driving an energy transition across Central and South Eastern Europe, Ukraine and Moldova; Infrastructure Europe working on infrastructure but with a geographical focus concentrated on Central and South Eastern Europe and Ukraine; Energy Eurasia driving an energy transition but with a geographical focus concentrated on Türkiye, the Caucasus and Central Asia; and Sustainable Infrastructure MEA (Middle East and Africa) responsible for both the infrastructure and energy sectors in the Bank’s SEMED and SSA regions.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

The Associate will be familiar and compliant with the Contribution Agreement between EBRD and the public client as well as the Concept Note, which defines the procedures to assess, approve and undertake new projects for internal approval.

The following will be part of the responsibilities of the successful candidate:

Assist the Line Manager in overseeing the region’s pipeline;
As a team member with the OL, communicate on daily basis with the Public Client on the development of projects under preparation
Prepare concept notes for projects, Terms of Reference for the external consultants and seek approval from the OL;
Lead and coordinate with the EBRD Procurement Department in the selection of consultants, signing of advisory contracts and mobilisation
On a daily basis manage consultants working on the preparation of projects;

As requested by the OL provide input into the design and development of projects in coordination with different stakeholders, including the private sector, and potential foreign investors

Monitor implementation and results for all projects that are under the responsibility of the Line Manager and flag potential risks and address the concerns, if any, to the OL as necessary;
Manage, monitor and ensure the deliverable submission schedule in close supervision of the ongoing assignments;
Assist the OL in ensuring that all relevant deliverables, procurements and project documents meet EBRD Environmental and Social policies;
Prepare required reporting to the public client and seek approval from the Line Manager;
As requested by the Line Manager, prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, and presentation materials;
Coordinate visibility of the donors and ensure the projects supported by them are implemented in line with the relevant visibility action plans agreed;

Purpose of the Job

The Natural Resources (NR) team originates, structures and executes debt and equity transactions across the Bank’s countries of operations, supporting clients in the natural resources value chain and contributing to the Bank’s strategic priorities through investment, portfolio management and policy dialogue. Purpose of Job

The Principal, Project Integrity works within the Project Integrity team in Office of the Chief Compliance Officer (OCCO) to assess integrity risk in projects and ensure high standards of integrity are consistently applied through the Bank’s projects.

Background

This role is in one of the specialist support functions in the investment process. The primary responsibility of the Principal, Project Integrity is to provide specialist advice to the Bank on transaction related integrity and reputational issues (including through the Operations Committee & Small Business Investment Committee, and in close cooperation with Banking teams and Credit). The Principal analyses, verifies, interprets and assesses integrity concerns and mitigating measures, after which an appropriate course of action is proposed.

Facts / Scale

The Project Integrity team consists of 18 members: two Senior Officers providing support, ten Principals, six Associate Directors, and one Director. The team assesses some 600 projects a year, and conducts regular training across the Bank. The main points of contact are banking and credit teams but also other support units such as Impact and OGC, as well as working with external consultants. The Principal can be involved in any integrity related matter across the whole range of the Bank’s operations, but is mainly concerned with those related to transactions in the pre-signing phase. On average, each Principal works on 25 transactions simultaneously each month. The Principal has a portfolio of some 50 live projects at any one time and needs to keep abreast of a variety of issues in each of them at any given time.

Purpose of Job

The Principal Sustainable Transport Specialist - Electric Mobility hereinafter ‘Sustainable Transport Specialist - Electric Mobility’ will primarily support the development of sustainable transport projects, with a focus on electric mobility and low carbon transport, at both national and urban level and in support of the EBRD Green Cities Programme.

The role will cover broad range of transport sectors integrating electric mobility and electrification, comprising both network and autonomous electric systems and including road and rail infrastructure and land-side facilities (ports, airports) and urban transport. Investments and related actions shall promote decarbonisation and climate action, notably through modal shift and fleet electrification and including climate adaptation, where relevant and in support of the Green Cities Programme as applicable. The scope shall cover both network and autonomous electric mobility, including rail networks, power supply and charging systems and electrification of fleets and shall also include all related policies, infrastructure, digital systems and services to enhance adoption of electric and low carbon transport modes, including station areas, public realm and urban regeneration as well as ticketing and user information systems. Alongside electrification, the role shall include, where relevant, alternative fuels (notably hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels) and charging infrastructure, together with charge point operators (CPOs) and operating platforms and control and information systems.

The role will span across the complete project cycle, including exploratory, preparation, implementation and subsequent monitoring and include both investments and policy actions.

Background

The Sustainable Infrastructure Project Policy & Preparation (SI3P) team is composed of technical, financial and policy specialists; it is tasked with enabling EBRD’s Sustainable Infrastructure Group (SIG) to develop future-ready policies and prepare high-quality projects for clients in line with the Bank’s transition mandate. Its annual business volume is in the region of EUR 5 billion.
EBRD Green Cities is the Bank’s flagship programme for the delivery of urban sustainable solutions. Purpose of Job

Working within the Competitiveness and Economic Governance team, the Principal I, Institutional Capacity & Delivery is a core member of the team delivering the Bank’s flagship Economic Governance initiative in Ukraine: the Ukraine Recovery and Reform Architecture (URA) programme. The post holder is responsible for overseeing effective delivery of key programme components and outcomes; ensuring effective coordination of international and national stakeholders on reform and recovery implementation within the scope of the programme; and for monitoring, analysing and reporting on political and policy developments affecting the programme and the recovery and reform landscape in Ukraine.

S/he formulates proposals for potential new assignments within the areas of his/her responsibility; provides advice to senior management on reform and recovery related topics; supports high-level policy dialogue with the Government of Ukraine and liaises at an appropriate level with political leaders, international partners and inter-governmental organisations active in Ukraine.

Ukraine Recovery and Reform Architecture (URA) is a flagship technical assistance programme deployed by the EBRD in partnership with the EU to support critical reform and recovery processes in Ukraine and accelerate the country’s EU accession. URA is one of the largest and most complex policy initiatives ever implemented by the EBRD and has contributed to hundreds of reform outcomes in Ukraine since its establishment in 2016. With over 300 reform experts embedded in Recovery and Reform Support Teams (RSTs) across Ukraine’s ministries and agencies and the Recovery and Reforms Delivery Office (RDO) located in the Office of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, URA provides expert, analytical and implementation support to key reform and recovery priorities of the Government of Ukraine (GoU).

The Principal I will work closely with URA reform teams, GoU counterparts, EBRD senior management, EU and other international partners to ensure successful delivery of reform and recovery outcomes through the URA programme. S/he will also engage with multiple internal stakeholders, including Banking, Legal, Donor Partnerships etc to ensure smooth operational delivery of programme activities.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Oversee the work of assigned Reform Support Teams, including oversight of formulation of priorities, work plans, results delivery and monitoring, team management, and overall support to ensure successful RST operations;
Oversee effective coordination of project and other stakeholders involved in recovery planning and implementation, including URA teams in relevant Ministries, Agencies, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the URAF, the EU and other donor counterparts;
Establish and maintain close cooperation with other international financial institutions, international organisations, civil society and donors working on recovery and reform implementation in Ukraine;

Accountability and Responsibility

Purpose of Job

The Principal II Specialist, Water is responsible for the technical aspects of projects within the water sector contributing to all phases of the investment cycle primarily involved in project preparation and to a much lesser extent project implementation and monitoring. In addition, the Water Sector Specialist will assist in assessing project opportunities, risks and addressing transition impact from an engineering point of view as well as supporting and promoting the integration of sustainable solutions in cities and regions the Bank operates. The role also includes elements of supporting the Bank’s infrastructure strategy, supporting policy dialogue, client management and assisting with business development. The Principal II Specialist, Water will distinguish themselves by the depth and complexity of water sector projects to be assessed for the SIG banking teams, as well as the ability to handle diversity of project structures and risks to be analysed with regard to technical innovation brought in particular by private sector clients of the Bank.

Background

The Sustainable Infrastructure Policy & Project Preparation (SI3P) team is composed of technical and financial specialists. It is tasked with enabling EBRD’s Sustainable Infrastructure Group (SIG) to develop future-ready programmes and prepare high-quality projects for clients in line with the Bank’s transition mandate.
The Principal II Specialist, Water will be a member of the Project Preparation & Implementation (PP&I) Unit, which is part of the SI3P team and is accountable for providing timely, authoritative and quality technical advisory for projects in exploratory, preparation and delivery stages. The wider remit of the PP&I unit is the identification and development of ‘cross-over’ project opportunities which include the integration of water, energy and food security as well as participating in the EBRD’s Green Cities initiative largely through support to Green City Action Plans (GCAPs) which are an integral part of this initiative.
The Principal II Specialist, Water will provide technical authority to the SIG banking teams to originate and develop their pipeline of projects in the water sector. For each project, the Principal Water Sector Specialist will support the Operation Leader (OL) with project preparation, appraisal and monitoring (as appropriate) providing both pragmatic, sound, innovative and imaginative solutions or approaches that facilitate project signing and project monitoring post-signing.
The Principal II Specialist, Water will be recognised internally as providing the breadth of technical knowledge and expert independent advisory on new, novel and emerging technologies relevant to the Water sector. The Principal II Specialist, Water will distinguish themselves by covering a wide variety of project types and structures, to include, inter alia, integrated water resources management, dams, drinking water treatment, drinking water supply, metering, sewer systems, stormwater systems, flood protection, river regulation, wastewater treatment and discharge, wastewater treatment sludge management, nature based solutions, digital solutions, irrigation systems, other non-conventional water sector projects etc.
The Principal II Specialist, Water will assist in the selection and appointment of external technical consultants and review, monitor and enhance the work of external technical consultants by providing independent technical scrutiny, assuring consistent and high-quality final deliverables in line with project requirements.
Where appropriate, the Principal II Specialist, Water may also advise and shape the softer reform components (e.g. Technical Cooperation) that enhance the sustainability of investments and as such may support the OL in securing funds necessary to develop these project-related elements. For certain projects he/she shall liaise with other banking teams from the Risk Department, Climate Strategy and Delivery (CSD) Department, Impact and Environment & Sustainability (ESD) Department to facilitate project development.

Independently carry out, lead and/or supervise technical due diligence in order to appraise technical and commercial viability of projects in preparation.

- Screen initial project proposals to help inform the OL and, if applicable the Team Director as to whether Bank resources should be committed to develop specific projects providing sound reasoning in that guidance

- Lead / participate in pre-feasibility site visits

- Meet with key stakeholders including public and private sector clients to help facilitate the OL during the project life-cycle

- Lead and support the preparation of project-related documentation (such as Technical Due Diligence ToRs) including internal Bank documents (CRMs and FRMs etc.), and where necessary review Loan Agreements and provide technical input in the covenants in accordance with OL agreed priorities

- Assist in selection and appointment of external technical consultants

- Oversee consultant-led technical due diligence; applying expert technical knowledge and experience to technical documentation including review of financial models, economic and financial costs and benefits to ensure adequacy of technical/engineering assumptions

- Assist with and validate Green Economy Transition assessments

- Provide technical inputs as required to facilitate securing of donor financing for transactional and non-transactional Technical Cooperation and investment grants

- Participate in / lead site visits working with Project Implementation Support Consultants and/or Lenders’ Technical Advisors
Offer-up practical and imaginative solutions that facilitate project signing and project delivery whilst maintaining the bank’s integrity.
Maintain awareness and interest in water sector market trends and solutions and ensure Team has state-of-the-art sector expertise
Seek opportunities across sectors and across teams where a more integrated or novel approach could realise better projects.
Where necessary assist project monitoring in order to support the loan disbursement / project implementation process.
Contribute to development of related policies, country and Bank strategies and to the EBRD’s Green Cities initiative as led by others.
Keep abreast of sector related policy issues in the region and in the European Union, including interaction with relevant sector or government organisations.
Advise on implications of policy developments on signed projects and projects under the preparation phase.
Work with other internal departments to facilitate project development.
Support the onboarding process of new joiners and provide on the job support/coaching to (new) team colleagues in technical aspects of project screening, scoping, due diligence, implementation and monitoring to increase sector related skills and understandings.
Advise and assist Project Implementation Adviser on technical aspects of the projects to facilitate project implementation; advise Policy Strategy and Delivery (PSD) on rationale and transition impact aspects; interact with CSD on climate change mitigation and adaptation aspects and Paris Agreement alignment of the projects and engage with ESD on environmental and social dimensions.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Degree qualified in a relevant engineering/technical discipline; additional higher degree in a relevant finance, economics or business degree would be beneficial.
Track record and experience in the wider water sector with a relevant infrastructure utility company or corporate/project finance group or an IFI and/or a technical consultancy firm with experience of advising IFIs in relation to water sector projects, or organisation of similar expertise.
Deep know-how in a technical or specialised field built on understanding of theoretical concepts and principles and their organisational context with this knowledge gained through qualification and/or extensive practical experience.
Experience of carrying out technical due diligence and monitoring of projects in water resources management, drinking water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, bio-resources, blue-green systems, irrigation infrastructure, climate mitigation and adaptation.
Understand options for supporting low-carbon pathways in the water sector including solutions for improving maturity of operators including digitalisation.
International experience in the water sector would be considered particularly beneficial.
Broader knowledge of public and private sector markets, the regulated business and regulatory environments that influence EBRD’s work in the water sectors.
Extensive experience of leading and delivering projects to time, cost and quality.
Experience in working in cross-cultural teams.
Sound understanding of banking/business principles.
Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to interpret technical and financial information and able to analyse and assess project viability.
Ability to communicate effectively and confidence in handling internal and external senior stakeholders.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Good report writing skills.
Language skills from one of the Bank’s countries of operation is desirable.

Purpose of the Job

The Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, Policy Strategy and Delivery provides high quality secretarial and administrative support; together with any ad-hoc assistance that may be required. The Executive Assistant may also assist with a variety of administrative tasks for PSD group including group level meetings and events. The role will interact with all levels within PSD, VP3 and Bank wide, to include Banking Department Budget Officers, HR, Board Secretariat, President’s Office as well external clients and institutions.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Managing Director; together with any ad-hoc assistance that may be required to the Managing Director ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly which may include, but is not limited to the following:

Efficient diary management.
Monitoring e-mails; screening and prioritising messages and replying on behalf of the Managing Director where appropriate; prioritising communications and re-routing as necessary and taking comprehensive messages.
Drafting correspondence for the Managing Director signature/review; taking minutes; proof-reading and checking documents to for the Managing Director ensure quality management and control. Coordinate team submissions acting as quality control & ensuring all deadlines are met.
Arrange all elements of travel according to EBRD travel policy including arranging visas, accommodation, ordering currency and preparing itineraries. Check travel expense reports and other expenditure for the relevant cost centre(s) to ensure adherence to the Bank's policy; monitor and assist the MD in claiming expenses in a timely manner.

Maintain comprehensive filing in various hard copy and electronic systems and archiving for Managers’/team to ensure instant retrieval of documents.

Liaise with the relevant Committee Secretariats regarding the scheduling of PSD items at Bank committee and Board of Directors’ meetings

Produce and/or prepare team related documents such as Power Point presentations, business correspondence, factsheets, briefing notes, reports ensuring all deadlines are met and contents are accurate in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Bank Committee procedures.
Conduct ad-hoc or specific tasks assigned by Line Manager which may be related amongst others to pipeline or reporting.
Support RO visitors to HQ (e.g. finding office space / arranging printing/other HQ-based assistance, etc.) to extent not provided by their own Team within PSD.

Dependant on team, the role may also include:

Conduct budget officer duties with routine budgetary functions for the Team / Department (Purchase Orders, checking re-charge, departmental accruals and various housekeeping reports) to ensure costs are as pre-approved and deliver reports as requested.
Timely monitoring and reporting of the department’s self-managed costs to ensure these are in line with annual projected budget; raise purchase requisitions; enter goods receipts and process expenses relating to travel and hospitality, ensuring these adhere to the Bank’s purchasing and expense policies and procedures.
Departmental Co-ordinator, IT co-ordinator, HR co-ordinator, work with Teams within PSD to ensure all administrative procedures surrounding on-boarding, moving and leaving of staff/consultants. Maintain PSD Front Office shared calendar.
Maintain an up-to-date disaster recovery and business continuity call out cascade to refer to in the event of an emergency.
Assist in the recruitment, interview process, training and management of other Assistants, including monitoring workload, setting their objectives to maintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its demands; may act as a secondary reviewer on Assistants’ performance appraisal; and ensuring team cover at all times.
Organise Departmental events: e.g. Team Meetings, Conferences, Presentations, Seminars, Team Retreats and Off sites.
To act as a key person in preparation for the regular senior level events with participation of the President, Board members and other senior managers.
Work with the Manging Director’s Advisor to anticipate the need for background briefing material and ensuring it is available in advance of meetings with the President, the Banks senior management, Board Directors, members of the Group and other internal/external officials as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Academic Qualifications

Degree and/or equivalent relevant business experience
A recognised secretarial qualification would be useful but is not essential.
Fluent English, with excellent written and oral communications skills
Knowledge of another language (e.g. French or Arabic) both written and spoken would be desirable

Proven experience at working at a senior level within a multi-disciplined and multi-cultural organisation

Due to the complex nature of the role the Executive Assistant should be comfortable interacting with staff at a very senior level both within their own department and Vice-Presidency as well as Bank wide
EBRD experience and/or knowledge of the Bank’s policies and systems desirable (e.g. SAP, Project Link, Live-link, Bold-net, DTM; and Data Warehouse Reports etc).

Technical Skills

At least 55 wpm typing
Intermediate/advanced computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) as well as the ability to format large documents, charts and tables to publication quality is essential
Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential.

While the role is initially advertised on a fixed-term basis, there may be the potential for extension or transition into a longer-term or permanent position
