Purpose of Job

 

The Marketing and Digital Content Officer’s main tasks are to provide support to the Principal - Marketing Sponsorship and Technology Management in the design and development of marketing materials for the Annual Meeting (AM), coordination of the social media campaign, management of the Annual Meeting website, the mobile-based application MyEBRD and the Annual Meeting area of the intranet.

 

The role requires relevant experience in the above fields and close working collaboration with the Event Management Team (AMPEM), Communications, media partners and outsourced providers.

 

Background

The Marketing and Digital Content Officer role is based in the Office of the Secretary General (OSG). OSG acts as secretariat to the EBRD Board of Governors and Board of Directors and their committees and as the official channel of communication between the EBRD and its shareholders. It is responsible for the organisation of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, all meetings of the Board of Directors, other large events organised under the auspices of the EBRD and all protocol matters involving VIPs from shareholder governments.        

Within OSG, this role is responsible for assisting with marketing activities, the on-line marketing platforms of the Annual Meeting and the liaison with external international media partners.

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

The Marketing and Digital Content Officer will produce marketing materials for the Annual Meeting (AM) based on a pre-designed “look and feel”, coordinate the AM social media campaign, oversee the development and maintenance of the Annual Meeting web site, MyEBRD mobile application and the AM area of the Intranet, to include:

 

  • Producing print and digital creative work whilst following corporate brand guidelines and a pre-designed look and feel for the AM. Work includes items such as: Annual Meeting (AM) website layout on Cvent, press advert, mobile app graphics and layout, web banners, newsletters, e-invitations, etc.
  • Coordinating and managing input into Cvent from various sources for the website and the mobile app
  • Overseeing the consistency and quality of content on the AM website and mobile application
  • Troubleshooting for all AM web related issues and maintaining a close cooperation with the outsourced supplier
  • Collecting and maintaining the information for the Annual Meeting page of the EBRD intranet
  • Coordinating, in close cooperation with the Communications Department, the social media marketing campaign and ensuring compliance of EBRD style at all times
  • Repurposing content from existing publications for various marketing materials and writing original text when needed
  • Repurposing marketing designs for the various EBRD social media channels
  • Monitoring and evaluating the success of our marketing channels using tools such as Google Analytics, and ensuring that this feedback is acted on
  • Creating and coordinating content for the AM general satisfaction survey
  • Producing a final report with statistics and analysis of marketing efforts vs registration data

 

 

During the Annual Meeting, the Marketing and Digital Content Officer will manage the MyEBRD information stand, troubleshoot and manage all mobile app queries for all participants at all levels, update all changes for speakers and sessions on the AM website and MyEBRD and manage 1 support staff

 

The Annual Meeting will take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on 16-18 May 2023

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Use of graphic design software with corporate print and digital experience
  • Proven experience demonstrating adherence to brand compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable multi-tasking with an ability to prioritise
  • Familiar with publishing a range of materials for use on digital communications channels, including images and video
  • Fluent in English with the ability to write clearly and attractively for both marketing and institutional reporting purposes
  • Computer literate in Windows 10, MacOS, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat (reader, writer), InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Cvent, HTML and/or Content Managements Systems would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of social media applications, e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube
  • 1 year experience of working in a comparable role on a large international event/and or organisation 
  • Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, to remain accurate and attentive to detail in such situations
