Purpose of Job

 

The key role of the AV Technician is to assist with the technical set-up and delivery of in-person, hybrid and virtual events in the Bank’s headquarters and virtual event platforms, carry out the day-to-day duties in meeting rooms managed by Event Management, ensuring systems are fully operational, provide technical assistance for these rooms and assist with event coordination. The AV Technician also provides cover for the permanent Associate, SIS/Sound/AV Technician in OSG.

 

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities 

 

  • Liaise with Event Management with regards to all technical requirements/arrangements for events in the Bank.
  • Install SIS, Sound/Recording and AV facilities/equipment for large events.
  • Carry out full system checks, rectify faults and ensure all systems are in full working order.
  • Carry out the day to day duties for all meeting rooms ensuring systems are fully operational and provide technical assistance for the rooms
  • Assist/Host virtual meetings via WebEx/Zoom/Teams or other platforms as required.
  • Operate technical equipment for in-house large events, hybrid and fully virtual.
  • Hire freelance technicians form the Event management technicians’ pool as and when required.
  • Assist Event Management as and when required.
  • Liaise with 3rd party companies (venues, technical counterparts, agencies)
  • Work in a flexible manner, in accordance with the core working hours, by either commencing work earlier or finishing later on an ad-hoc basis depending on the timings of the events being managed.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

 

 

  • At least five years' experience and good operational knowledge of the following:
  • Simultaneous Interpretation systems (familiarity with Interactio or other remote simultaneous interpretation systems is an advantage)
  • Sound systems
  • Lighting
  • Video conference systems
  • Virtual platforms including but not limited to WebEx, Teams and Zoom
  • Setup presets and operate PTZ camera mix
  • Streaming software such as OBS, Wirecast, vmix or Restream
  • Crestron control systems
  • Overall audio visual to include projection, PowerPoint, video playback
  • Good communications skills (oral and written English)
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Team worker with good time management skills
  • Good sense of priorities and initiative
  • Excellent interface with internal and external clients at the highest level.
