Purpose of Job


The Communications Department is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications, advancing the Bank’s mission, vision and goals through various channels amongst external and internal audiences.


The Analyst is essential to all activities of the Internal Communications team, vital for the smooth running of an organisation. They are expected to have a good understanding of the latest digital communication trends and tools.

This role will be offered as a 12-month short-term contract.



Accountabilities & Responsibilities


  • Assist with the delivery of Internal Communications goals;
  • Produce, distribute, measure the use of the corporate newsletter and identify ways to improve it;
  • Update the intranet homepage and other parts of the intranet to ensure that content for the intranet is topical, timely and in line with the Internal Communications Strategy;
  • Source, plan, produce and deliver internal communications campaigns for teams across the Bank;
  • Identify themes, projects, activities and events which capture the Bank’s work and present them in a creative and convincing way internally;
  • Support the delivery of staff and senior leadership briefings;
  • Research the latest practices on keeping staff informed and engaged;
  • Develop and maintain a strong range of internal EBRD contacts in order to have the access to key EBRD information necessary;
  • Provide occasional admin and coordination support to other project activities.


Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications


Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience



  • At least 2-3 years relevant professional experience, ideally working in Internal Communications;
  • Good understanding of the Bank’s operations and people;
  • Knowledge of internal communications and engagement trends


Knowledge and skills

  • Fluency in English and relevant languages;
  • Excellent writing skills, including editorial accuracy and ability to edit concisely;
  • Effective, persuasive and diplomatic communication skills;
  • Keen interest in and knowledge of the EBRD countries of operations;
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills;
  • Ability to use virtual event platforms, such as Webex and Microsoft teams;
  • Ability to use various types of computer software, including Content Management Systems, such as Oracle;
  • Ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek advice;
  • Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment with changing priorities;
  • Passion for innovation and progressing internal communications, with knowledge of best practice and trends.
